It has certainly been quite a jam-packed week for us as we’ve just officiated the opening of our commercial farm in Hatyai. But today is an exception as we’ve gotten the honour of welcoming the Governor of Songkhla province in Thailand, Mr Songpol Sawasdham to our very own vertical growth hydroponics commercial farm. Standing right beside him is our farm manager, Mr Monchai Saewong. It was certainly fun explaining how the iStacks growth tower works to conserve growing space and at the same time increase the yield of salads.
Today is the launching of our brand new commercial farm under the collaboration between Hatyai Vertical Farm Co., Ltd., FigDirect and IMT-GT in Hatyai, Thailand. Here we feature the entire range of our hydroponics vertical stack system which is iStack and StarStack. With this farm, we hope to create a growing space that is more efficient and higher yielding than a conventional salad farm. By stacking the crops up, we managed to increase the yield with the same amount of space. We also hope to make this our show farm for people to learn more about urban vertical hydroponics farming. Today we have some very special visitors from the chain-supermarket company, Siam Makro Public Limited, and from Charoen Pokphand Group (CP). Here we took the time to explain that the modern generation requires a modern way of planting. Traditionally, agriculture requires a lot of land area in order to grow the fresh produce we consume. But with vertical hydroponics, we are able to utilize a planting space more efficiently and produce more yield at the same time. Hence, this is the future of vertical hydroponics.
